To MSC or not to MSC that was the question.

I am an avid cruise YouTube watcher. I love travel vlogs, blogs and reviews.

I never really considered booking an MSC cruise before as they were not getting great reviews on the channels I was watching.  The food & service seemed to be below average and those are the two most important things to us.

When I received an email with an offer to good to miss for a 7-night cruise around the Mediterranean that included Rome as one of the stops then we had to give them a try.

I was nervous about going with MSC but also worried about the size of the ship it was the largest ship that we had both been on before. Due to the price and the fact that we hadn’t been abroad since 2019 we decided to give them a go.

I saw the deal on a Cruise 1St email and we booked through them.  The booking process was straight forward and I couldn’t find our package with anyone else even close to the price that we were paying.

We decided that we could use this cruise as a test to see if we like MSC, and a holiday to get us back into traveling as we haven’t been abroad since the pandemic.

So we booked 2 nights in Barcelona and then a 7 night cruise. The ports of call were Barcelona, Cannes, Genoa, La Spezia, Civitavecchia, Palma De Mallorca & Barcelona.

Other than knowing that we could do an excursion to Rome from Civitavecchia we were not to fussed with the ports of call they were not bucket list destinations to us but we were excited to explore some more of Italy.

I will be doing a review style blog on our cruise with some photos of the ship that i hope you will find useful!

Will we be booking with MSC again? Absolutely!
